Context-Sensitive Help Does not Work on Microsoft Vista with Internet Explorer 7 Browsers

When you access help from an IBM Cognos product or component dialog, the help file opens at its beginning instead of at the topic that is specific to that dialog. This occurs only if you are running Internet Explorer 7 on Microsoft Vista.

This problem is caused by a Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 known issue. An Internet Explorer Hotfix resolving this problem is available for download from Microsoft. To obtain the Hotfix, go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus2/emailcontact.aspx?scid=sw;en;1410&WS=hotfix and reference KB Article Number 942172 in your request.
